I’ve worn my hair free of relaxer since April 2004! A few months after deciding not to relax my hair anymore, I started traditional locks. They were nice, fun, freeing and overall, I enjoyed them very much. After several years, I decided to cut them and wear my hair loose natural for a while. That was work! Then one day, I saw a young lady with Sisterlocks®. What a vision, I thought!! Her hair was neat, the locks were small and seemingly very versatile compared to the locks I had worn before. I said, “Now, that’s what I want!” In 2011, I was welcomed into the wonderful world of Sisterlocks® and I’ve had no desire to go back. It was indeed the best hair decision I’ve made. The ultimate shake and go, I wake up and my hair IS the style! Whether I want to let my locks blow in the wind and wear them down, roller rod them, braid out, pin them up, they look great. No more bad hair days for me!

Many times, my consultant and mentor asked me about becoming a consultant. I was not interested for a long time. However, I started to notice that she was so booked, it was almost impossible for her to regularly bring on new clients. I thought about how disappointed I would have been had I not been able to get Sisterlocks®. So, I wanted to learn the craft to be able to offer Sisterlocks® to more women in my area and beyond. Taking the 4-day training course, becoming a consultant and birthing Kinky Krowns was yet another step in my amazing Sisterlocks® journey, and just like the first step, one that I definitely do not regret.
